Production-Ready Kia EV4 Officially Shown in Sedan, Hatchback Body Styles
Unlike many automakers scaling back their electric vehicle plans, Kia is not easing off the throttle as evidenced by the introduction of the all-new EV4.
This is the production version of the EV4 Concept that made its global debut in October of 2023. While the existing EV6 and EV9 as well as the upcoming EV3 and EV5 are all SUVs and crossovers, the EV4 is more of a conventional car, available in both sedan and hatchback body styles. For now, it has yet to be confirmed for Canada.

“Offering a fresh take on the sedan, the EV4 sedan features a sleek, low nose and long-tail silhouette,” said Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design. “The EV4 hatchback is a nimble, versatile all-rounder. Distinctive and clean, it is built to excel in any situation.”
Almost a carbon copy of the original concept, the production-intent EV4 marks another interpretation of the “Opposites United” design language and boasts an athletic stance anchored by 19-inch wheels with a geometric pattern mirroring other EV models from Kia. Its exterior dimensions were not disclosed, but we suspect the car is a tad longer and wider than the new, gas-powered K4.

Some will say the rear end has a muscular look, while others might find it, well, a bit fat. An extremely subtle, two-piece spoiler is found on the roof of the sedan. A larger and more traditional spoiler is affixed to the hatchback, which further stands out with contrasting black vertical C-pillars.
In GT-Line trim, both EV4 configurations have a slightly darker and sportier appearance, as you can see with the wing-shaped front and rear bumpers, plus the triangular-motif 19-inch wheels.

While no pictures of the interior were released, the EV5 that’s currently making its national debut at the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto is probably an accurate preview. Specs including power, battery capacity and range remain a mystery, too.
All will become clear at the 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain on February 27. The company will provide detailed information about the EV4 and also introduce the PV5 van along with the EV2 Concept. Stay tuned.
