Second-Gen 2026 Hyundai Palisade Revealed in First Official Pics

A second-generation Hyundai Palisade is on the way, and we now have an idea of what's to come with the first images from South Korea.

Just like it did for the 2023 mid-cycle update, the automaker focused on the front end, which marks a radical change. The new grille and lower bumper trim emphasize the width of the three-row midsize SUV. The redesigned headlamps don't have an “H” like the Santa Fe's, instead featuring a pattern that evokes the pixels on Hyundai's electric models. That being said, there's no mistaking this vehicle for an IONIQ 9.

Overall, the upcoming Palisade sports a much boxier appearance that’s somewhat reminiscent of a Range Rover, at least when viewed from the side. It also shares similarities with its Kia and Genesis cousins. The large, chrome-trimmed D-pillars that seem to merge with the roof rails are unmistakably Korean.

New 21-inch wheels add to the SUV’s more premium look, while the redesigned bumper in the rear effectively hides the tailpipes. The wheelbase has been extended a bit, too.

Inside, the Palisade draws inspiration from the aforementioned Santa Fe, particularly the steering wheel (now with the shifter mounted on the steering column), the 12.3-inch displays forming a curved interface, as well as some of the centre controls. However, the rest is more like the IONIQ 9, with plenty of rounded shapes that contrast with the exterior.

Ambient lighting and redesigned seats are part of the mix, while the centre console is now detached from the dashboard so extra storage can be found in-between. Furthermore, Hyundai claims that comfort and visibility for third-row passengers are improved.

As for engines, it remains to be seen whether the 3.8-litre V6 will return. It's more likely that a turbocharged replacement (with four or six cylinders) will make its debut. A hybrid variant is also said to be in the pipeline, but remains to be confirmed.

In anticipation of this new 2026 Palisade, which will go on sale here next year and will undoubtedly cost more, Hyundai Canada has revised the 2025 model lineup and prices. The base Preferred model, absent from the 2024 portfolio, is back with an MSRP of $50,499, while the Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy models go up by $1,000 to $55,699 and $59,299, respectively.
