Genesis G70 Track Day Special Concept to Make World Debut in Canada
Since last year, those lucky enough to visit Germany's legendary Nürburgring a.k.a. the “Green Hell” can sit in a specially prepared Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife next to a professional driver and enjoy the full potential of the G70 compact sedan, which was developed extensively on this track.
Now, Hyundai’s luxury brand is going further with the Genesis G70 Track Day Special Concept, a one-off project vehicle making its world premiere right here in Canada this spring.

While the suspension, 19-inch wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are the same used by the Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife, mirroring its low, sporty stance, various enhancements have been made to the body to give the concept a racier look, such as hood air vents as well as front and rear tow cables
The colour combination is switched, but obviously the show-stopper is the gigantic rear wing with the Genesis name on it. Under the hood, the twin-turbo 3.3-litre V6 still makes 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque.

“We’ve been preparing for this next evolution of Genesis around the world, and on some of the most challenging tracks, notably the Nürburgring,” says Eric Marshall, director of Genesis Motors Canada. “Now it’s time to show Canadian guests and our Distributors a preview of the next era of Genesis through the G70 Track Day Special Concept—an exploration of what is possible when it comes to high performance motoring, the Genesis way.”
Genesis, through a collaboration with its Canadian retailers, will organize multiple presentations of the G70 Track Day Special Concept at various locations across the country. The tour will begin on May 22 at Genesis Markham near Toronto and subsequently extend to other Genesis stores across Canada during the remainder of 2025.

Performance enthusiasts should also keep an eye out for the first production models from Genesis' new Magma program, starting with the fully electric GV60 Magma, which will go into production later in 2025 and be sold first in South Korea before expanding to other markets, including North America. It will share similarities with Hyundai's IONIQ 5 N.
